    Kilauea volcano in Hawaii

    Kilauea+volcano+in+Hawaii

On September 11th, Kilauea, Hawaii, experienced a volcanic eruption that caused an evacuation throughout the city. Though you might assume the evacuation was due to the lava, it was actually caused by the amount of ash in the air which made it unsafe for people with respiratory issues, as USGS said quote, ¨Residents and visitors should minimize exposure to these volcanic particles, which can cause skin and eye irritation.¨

This is not the first time that the Kilauea volcano has erupted this year, it has erupted on three other occasions, and this is the second evacuation of the surrounding area this year. I find this article to be important as it may be seen as a typical natural disaster of sorts, but, what does this volcano tell us about the future of Kilauea? Will Kilauea become an unsafe environment for people to live in?
