The NBA Trade Of The Year?

The+NBA+Trade+Of+The+Year%3F

The BIGGEST trade of the year Damian Lillard unites with Giannis and the Bucks. The Milwaukee Bucks welcomed him by tweeting “welcome to the family” and the world is in shock right now. No one saw this coming on September 27, 2023. They announced that he was traded and that he was now Giannis’ new teammate. #Champions 23-24. Damian Lillard wanted a change of scenery and the Blazers trading him got them Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, and Toumani Camara. After one 2029 1st-round pick and 2 pick swaps, all the bucks got was Damian Lillard. This is the three-team deal with the Phoenix.

Jimmy Butler is now a little upset, on Instagram he was saying that they need to check the bucks for tampering. Basically accusing, because the heat thought they were gonna get him but didn’t end up getting him because he’s a valuable player. Lillard requested a trade on the second day of 2023 of his free agency after years of going back and forth with Portland on trying to build a championship contender around him. He signed a two-year, max contract extension in the summer of 2022. Lillard is owed $216.2 million over the next four seasons, including $63.2 million in the 2026-27 campaign.

The trade puts an end to months of speculation and rumors about a potential landing spot. Lillard has spent his entire 11-year NBA career with Portland, earning seven All-Star and All-NBA appearances. He formally requested a trade in early July, finally got his request and is now a new member of the bucks.
