Purdue Polytechnic students have been working hard in the theater passion project led by Coach Hurd to prepare a one-act performance for our school. The play will be performed on December 14th. There will be an afternoon school performance and an evening family performance both located outside room 201. We invite you to come support our theater!
This performance of How (Not) To Be A Wizard will represent our theater passion project for anyone interested in taking the class or anyone who would like to come see our play. It will feature a cast

of 11 students, directed by Xavion Owens and Coach Hurd. The play is a short comedy including a variety of scenes about how not to be a wizard.
Students in this passion project really enjoy being in the class and working together to create the play. Quote from Sabine Fee, “I like the community and I enjoy acting with others.” Quote from Coach Hurd, “It takes a lot of time and hard work to pull off a performance. Our students do a great job at not only practicing their acting skills, but directing the show into how they want it performed and building up each other’s performances along the way.”
Our students work hard to play different characters, memorize lines and put together a performance for the school. We encourage you to consider joining this project in the future.
Last school year, Purdue Polytechnic performed a play titled
The play was very successful, with 7 out of 10 students in last year’s play returning to the class this year to perform again.
“Come out to support our Techies as they explore their passions in the performing arts. And come see Coach Hurd if you have interest in joining a future performance for our school!” – Coach Hurd.
Purdue Polytechnic would love for you to come support our next show! Our theater students are excited to put on this play for our school! We hope to see you there!
